Gatti's First-Half Goal Secures Three Points for Old Lady

WEB Juventus ended their four-game winless streak in Serie A with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
Federico Gatti's first-half goal proved to be the difference as Juventus returned to winning ways and consolidated their position in the league standings. The Old Lady dominated possession and created more chances throughout the game, but it was Fiorentina who had the better openings in the second half.
Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny made a crucial save to deny Gaetano Castrovilli in the 60th minute, and the visitors also hit the woodwork late on through Rolando Mandragora. However, Juventus held on for the narrow victory, which sees them move up to third place in the table.
The match was also notable for the return of Arkadiusz Milik, who came on as a substitute in the second half for Leonardo Bonucci. The Polish striker has been out with an injury since February, and his return provides Juventus with a much-needed boost ahead of the final stretch of the season.
Juventus will next be in action on April 10 when they travel to Udinese. Fiorentina, meanwhile, will host Salernitana on the same day.
