Local Winery Takes Top Honor at National Awards

Spearhead Winery, located on the benchlands of Southeast Kelowna, has been named Canada's Best Winery of the Year.

The small boutique winery won the prestigious award at the 2024 National Wine Awards of Canada.

Spearhead Winery has been consistently recognized for its high-quality wines, with top-10 finishes at the National Wine Awards in both 2022 and 2023.

This year, the winery's Pinot Noir swept the awards, propelling Spearhead to the top spot. The winery's Pinot Noir Reserve 2021 took home the award for Best Pinot Noir, while the Pinot Noir 2021 won Best Red Wine.

"We are incredibly honored to be named Canada's Best Winery," said Spearhead Winery owner and winemaker Andrew Peller.

"This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are committed to producing world-class wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Southeast Kelowna region."
